WHO HAS THE BIGGEST? or Can you beat this?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Actually, Ebay is an American company, so yes....OBVIOUSLY it has a .com version :screwy:.

What you meant to say was that www.ebay.co.uk also exists...as an afterthought to the original Ebay here in the US. Basically we have Ebay (first) and you guys have it too (second).

Didn't want you thinking Ebay was a British thing...setting the record straight. Carry on.

Thanks mate..
Lol

None of our tanks are big enough for our fish. We try to convince ourselves that they are. They don't come close to a lake or river or ocean. The Ck looks healthy and she will do the right thing.

True.. but we can at Least maximise the size we keep. Either way, I'm over this lol. I wasn't trying to have a go so once again, sorry if It came across like that. The knife looks healthy and is a nice specimen. I was simply stating it needs a bigger tank and explained my reasoning.

I would not let this little kid get to you or make you want to consider getting rid of your fish.. It sounds to me you do take very good care of it, feed it well, do your water changes and the filter you have on a 125 is made to filter a 400 gallon tank, So you are doing the right thing for it!!!

Yes it would be nice if you can get a bigger tank for it, But it's not like it's in a 29 gallon tank and has no room to move, it's in a 6' tank with plenty of room to swim around!!! It's real easy for a 17 year old kid who lives with Mommy and Daddy who pays all the bills and food to talk about what you should spend your money on because they don't have a worry in the world, Any good parent will take care of their children before their fish.... That don't make you a bad fish keeper that makes you a good parent!!!!

And who ever said that about making a $40 pond for it really don't know what they are talking about because the 3/4' thick plywood you need to make it out of is $40 each and you would need about 6 of them to build a big enough pond for it, Plus a few hundred dollars for the sealer or pond liner plus screws, silicone, glue ect....

Keep up the good work Hun. that is a beautiful healthy looking fish ONLY because you do take good care of it!!!!!

I love people like you. You see the age of someone and immediately make an assumption about them. Yes I live with my parents and I'm blessed to be doing so. However, that's about all you were correct on. You know nothing about me. I pay for everything tank related. The bills, the fish, food, equipment and so on and so forth. I work a job and have been doing so from age 12. I'm also at college studying applied science and A-Levels as well as being in the process of opening up my own business!

I never stated that k626 was a bad fish keeper or was wrong for putting her kids first. Any humane person would do that and rightly so. I simply stated a 20" fish shouldn't be in a 18" wide tank.

I stated it was ignorance to think that was ok. It is and I stand by that.

K626, clearly this has been blown way out of proportion as a simple statement has been taken as an insult to you personally. That was not my intention. I did not make my comment as a personal insult to you nor was I suggesting you were wrong for putting your kids first. I simply stated that the fish needs a tank with a wider width. That's my opinion and what I take to be fact as if the fish can't turn without touching the sides, I personally feel it is in too small an environment. My apologies if you took that as flaming or once again, as an insult. Once again, I will mention intex pool as they are much more affordable than tanks and can work miracles! Do check it out!

Inthecowboyswetrust, before you try and judge someone on something as irrelevant as their age, take a moment to understand their perspective. I'm not your average 17 year old and the direction I'm taking in life is certainly not to be taken lightly. I'm not here to tell you my life story and frankly, I don't give a crap about someones opinion who believes it's ok to generalise people on age. If you would like to say something in relation to my opinions, I'd appreciate it if you could pm me directly so we can sort that out on a one-to-one basis rather than you throwing out comments which have no place on this forum.

To the op, my apologies that this thread got derailed. I hope the comments which have no relation to this topic can be removed so that the thread can operate with its initial intention.

Thanks.
