WHO HAS THE BIGGEST? or Can you beat this?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Ok, lets try this.

Who has the biggest of any particular fish... (i.e. Oscar, Dovii, Convict, Angelfish etc...)

The key is that you post a picture or video of your animal and state its length then say BEAT THIS! Now you have to be honest about tip of nose to tip of tail length.

I can keep track of the biggest of each individual type and keep a running score. Or if no one wants to play i'll slink back into my corner.

I'll start:

12 inch Oranda Goldfish:

BEAT THIS!

SCORE TO DATE:

Redearsunfish has the biggest Oranda Goldfish at 12 inches.

GO!
This Oranda does not look 12". How big is the tank? 40G breeder?

Nice fish here! I can't compete right now but I think I have a pair of future candidates.. I have two Pantano's that grew from 2.5in in May to around 10 inches today.

OK, 2o inch gold ck. I can't get him (Willie) to hold still for the tape. He keeps trying to check it out. He's longer than the width of the tank, which is 18 inches, and he curls around about 2 inches or so. He keeps following me around and won't hold still lol!

I guess the pictures posted. I'm not too thrilled with the application, it won't let me do much.:nilly:

That poor knifefish. Why is he not in an adequately sized tank?

Could we get a UPDATED list with all the new "record" fish please?

Dunno if Giant Gouramis are featured yet - It's so difficult to get a good measurement of her, but she is getting fairly close to being as wide as her 300 gallon tank. Photo to come - will try posting soon.

Poor knife? The tank is 6 feet long. He's not being kept in a small 55 gallon box. He gets regular water changes, eats massivore pellets, and his filtration is an fx5. Please, tell me what I'm doing wrong.

He's longer than the width of the tank. Need we say more?

I'd like to have him in a wider tank. I'd love to have a 300. But right now that's not possible. I do the best I can with what I've got, and I think I take damn good care of him. Since you're perfect, what are you going to do when your gourami is wider than your 300? If you've got a bigger tank, then great for you. Like I said, he's not in a 55 gallon box, he gets well taken care of in his 125. When I have the funds for my dream tank, I'll move him. But right now I don't. So stop being all high and mighty and realize not everyone has deep pockets or space at the moment. I'm no noob, nor am I ignorant.
