180 GALLON TANK (Setup Costs and requirments- looking for help)

Wow 2500 is a lot of cash. But I guess whe nyou look at includign all the material to make it run it is not horriable.

What about a filter that is run into the bottom of the tank. Meaning gettign the glass drilled and fitted so that you are not using some crazy hang on filters and canister filters that have ugly tubes running into the tank???

What kind of filter do you use on a 180 gallon tank? Explain it in detail to me.

Why IS it nessesary where you live?

Norway in general has exceptional water quality!
When I do waterchanges I add it right into the tank with a garden hose.

Carbon is not needed unless I want to clean out after medication or something like that!

Yes I know old thread, but I haven't been around in quite some time.

240 gallon tank with 4 oscars and 3 bala sharks.

If all goes as planned I'll be purchasing a 180 gallon tank and will move 2 of my o's into that one.

50 gallon tank with a mated pair of JD's

30 gallon tank with a pink kissing gourami and a female gt (according to Ed).
