To me I think it’s he body shape and just look. They just have a look regal I guess if that’s the word I’m looking for.

How old are these monsters when they pass? I'd hate like hell to raise one from a few inches to a monster like that only to have it die in a couple years. I always thought polypterus were pretty long lived fish.

They can be in the right environment. 10 to 15 years is what I've been told.
