That's awesome!! I have a 13 year old Raph. myself. That is so true about them hiding. I've made the assumption that he passed away a few times, only to see him out eating a couple of nights later. I'm always amazed that when I'm doing water changes I never see him. You would think he come out eventually!! :grinno:
 
I have a 12 year old Pleco that I aquired from my mother. She had it since it was 2" and now its around 20", it lived in a 90g until 2 years ago when I moved it to my 300g.

p.tang. that thing is beautiful. When i was younger my dad had a koi pond and we had a common pleco for about 7 years. That was about 24"

Thanks! Its one of my favorites, I wonder how long they live?? It looks like a "common" pleco to me, what do you think?? Wow!!! 24" thats pretty big!!
 
Longest we ever had a fish...well fish. 7 Giant Danios 6+ yrs all died within a month or so. Had some other CA Cichlids for 5 years but sold them.
 
Not a fish, but I have had a Firebelly Newt for 23 years. His name is "Newty" as I was only 10 when I got him.

For my 30th and his 20th birthdays, I got my first tattoo. Of a newt, of course. We both continue to live on today. :nilly:
