Who has the oldest tank?

My friends 1908 Bronze 500 gallon that I restored for him. He has some that are even older too!

obvoiusly smaller tanks are sturdier

I have always thought the oppoite.

eg. 10-20 gallon tanks in my area are cheap and don't seem to be very well made.

90s and up are a lot more expensive per gallon and seem to show more attention to silicone work and probably have a greater saftey factor with the glass thickness..
 
my 75 is marked october 93.... i think im going to reseal it cuz the silicone has been "trimmed"

i had a 40g set up that my boss gave me....he bought it new in 1976....

Mucho dinero, but some of the antique aquariums are an excellent investment! Can't say that for the newer style glass tanks.
