who has the sickest cichla collection on MFK?

oh btw, to answer the question from op.. in no particular order.

r1ridah - accomplished all around mfker, very good eye for the estethic.

johnptc - probably THE best tank around, enormous but scaped the visibility is second to no overfiltered 300g. wrong to place him at cichla, more in the cathegory sickest tank ever.

samurai-h - little like johnptc. never seen seichii's tanks but judging from what he has he is more of a collector.

don - probably the best "brute cichla" tank around. no scaping, no dithers, no bs. cichla all the way.

sidokter - well, if you make a living from cichla it means you're good!

Dieselmack - the pope in the curch of cichla. the man, the myth, the legend. probably the tank that has inspired the most new monsterfishkeepers. one of the most beautifully scaped tanks, the granulosus was a beast!

Well if you read my first response to you I stated I didn't know you were the one who stated about money that I had to go back and look. So when I made my first post it was not directed at anyone specific you were not even on my mind, but a blanket comment like you say.

But enough about your excuses. When almost every single post previous to yours was voting don having the sickest collection then your post says you vote for John cause anyone with a few dollars can buy fish but true skills and dedication is building a 10K tank.

but what the hell? it seems you are just trying to pick a fight here, since J is clearly not backing off (and I'm sure the mods looks at this thread right now and will start handing out infractions any minute) wouldn't that suggest he would just say out loud "I think don is just a rich guy with a lot of nice cichla and little dedication".

It seems like you are trying to win an internet argument that doesn't exist since j said nothing about dons' tank. If you have a problem with a person, pm that person. I'm sure you can battle it out in private. I don't have J as an internet friend or anything, I just think you behave badly and that you're destroying this thread. with your 40 years in the hobby and forum experience one think you should know when it's time to back off. with the argument are using against J you are insulting both john and J and since john is a minor god and J is a long time, respected member maybe you should leave this thread alone..

Cichla people are pitbull people. We take our fish just as seriously and hard nosed as we take the rest of our lives. If you think youre gonna call out a cichla keeper and not take a few shots across the bow youre crazy. Everything we own bites, and they all learned it from US muahahaha! With that in mind, I know alot of these other guys feel the same way and wont take any lip from anybody. Dealing with c.r.e.a.m members is very much like dealing with an alpha dog. R1,Dmack.. R1 had a much better collection, Dmack had a very sick set up.. so if i cant vote for myself Joey gets collection, Dmack gets set up..

thanks to all of you who gave me my deserving props, Joey aka R1 my hommie , and everyone else who gave me my respect and props, but i will speak on this one time and once only, I will no longer share my collection with MFK nor post pictures or videos... I put so much time money dedication into the upkeep of my Expensive and very Rare cichla collection to accept criticism and rude remarks from anyone who doesnt know me or what it took for me to achieve this level of fishkeeping i have reached, I have had them all if you dont believe me do a search on me Intermedia, pinima, all except fogo.. so as far as having best collection not to toot my own horn but toot toot lol i do think i have the sickest or best collection how ever you guys put it.. I feed my fish the best food out there, i do water changes 100% every 2 days, i have them housed in a 1000gallon tank, i have all south american fish housed together.. i am a dedicated fish hobbyst to the fullest.. i take this $h!t very serious and am dissapointed to be called a person with money.. as oposed to a die hard or hard core cichla collector.. Thanks to Li aka Neo for making a wonderful place for fish people to meet chat and share things.. but its obvious its my time to go.. i will miss all that were cool and sorry to let you guys down that loved my collection but this is the end...

lol keep posting pictures, lots of us love your collection. Jose is a nice guy I'm sure he wasn't disrespecting you in anyways, I think Jose's looking at more into people who take the overrated fish species like Mono's Tem's Ocels and really give them a good home, not because they are super hard to find. I like your collection, we know it wasn't easy to get your collection either, but hey if people aren't talking about you then you ain't doing anything in this world!!!

What are you talking about. I just made a post of my opinion like anyone else. J came at me and if he can't take it tuff doo doo. J said it was just a blanket statement. OK I guess don felt he fell under that blanket as just having money anyone can have a nice collection. I guess he took offense to that blanket statement bug tuffy for him. I don't really have a problem with the statement. I made my opinion. J has a problem with anyone who has a different opinion then his. Yes its only part true that money can buy any fish. But as real serious fish keepers know even with money available not all fish are readily available and takes serious searching and hunting to find fish as I first stated. J seems to have problems with anyone who doesn't agree with him and its always been his problem. I say tuff doo doo LOL

I will say this anyone with money can buy what they want, but who will actually spend the money? I feed my fish only the best tell me another person who spends a lot on fish, grows fish on a stirct diet of massivore pellets I spend $90.00 a week just feeding my. Babies I don't even eat that good.. its my collection and to say anyone with a few dollars can have this Yes I do take it as a personal attack. But will not argue nor internet fight.. since its a money thing and anyone can do it, then I shall enjoy what my money did for me all to myself! Got nothing but love for Da creame crew, so whatever memeber would like to still enjoy my collection with me just email me direct for pictures and updates I'm too old for this life has so much more to offer..
