who has the sickest cichla collection on MFK?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
This thread is sounding like Life-Time for fish keepers. This is exactly why I read way more than post. People need to learn to forgive (7x70 if that means anything to anyone) and forget.

now THAT is comedy
that pretty much sums up your attitude is why you just don't get it as always.

OP question was who has the sickest PB collection and if anyone follows the posting everybody says don has the best collection. Then we get to your post and you say

My vote goes to JohnPTC. Anybody with a few dollars can pick up a some rare pbass. It takes true skill and dedication to build a 10,000g and raise cichla that are big enough to eat a toddler.

You say this was just a blanket opinion not directed at anyone. Well it sure seemed like you were directing towards somebody..

ok, just can't keep my mouth shut..

I'm pretty sure J's comment weren't directed at don. but we do have a few members that seems to buy whatever is the "in-fish" right now. I'd give the names, I'm not afraid to take the heat from some over praised ballers but everytime it seems I mention a screen name I recieve an infraction and I actually enjoy Mfk..

There are other members with the same syndrome, I think everyone mentioned don (who is new to me) as one of the top guys when talking cichla and one person didn't.. doesn't seem like to much of a loss if everyone has to kiss his feet for him to stay.. sick collection but thin skin.. this is the internet, you'll have to live with ***holes.

That's the thing, it wasn't directed at anybody like I have stated multiple times. If that's how you and a few other people took it, so be it. If it means some people think I'm jealous, a hater, talking sh1t, have an attitude, whatever. I'm not here to kiss ass and suck up to people in order to earn internet cool points or have somebody add me to their "friends" list. We got too many princes riding around on their high horses. Instead of more ego-stroking, perhaps a little humble humility pie is what they need.

Exactly how I feel, thx.

sorry to see that people's comments are getting twisted and being taken to heart when nothing was directed to any one person. Like metioned it was a blanket statement that could have been taken offensively from anyone of the top dawg's metioned. How do you know the comment was not directed to Mike but everyone ASSUMES it was for Don..... bottom line is get over it. There have been numerous hobbiest that have had rare pbass maybe not to such an extreme extent. If all it takes is one comment vs the other BILLION compliments then yeah your probably better off just watching your tank instead of sharing it.

oh btw, to answer the question from op.. in no particular order.

r1ridah - accomplished all around mfker, very good eye for the estethic.

johnptc - probably THE best tank around, enormous but scaped the visibility is second to no overfiltered 300g. wrong to place him at cichla, more in the cathegory sickest tank ever.

samurai-h - little like johnptc. never seen seichii's tanks but judging from what he has he is more of a collector.

don - probably the best "brute cichla" tank around. no scaping, no dithers, no bs. cichla all the way.

sidokter - well, if you make a living from cichla it means you're good!

Dieselmack - the pope in the curch of cichla. the man, the myth, the legend. probably the tank that has inspired the most new monsterfishkeepers. one of the most beautifully scaped tanks, the granulosus was a beast!

there are probably a bunch of others that deserves a mentioning to.

Did I mention you by name? If you read what I said "don't let one person or a couple of people get you down"
BLANKET like you say it was just a blanket comment. If you feel it was directed at you personally that is your problem. Like you say it was just a blanket opinion. But like OP response to you it made no sense to his question. He didn't asked who got the true dedicated skills. If you want to be technical anyone that's got the money and space can build a 10,000 gallon tank. Try to stick to the topic next time.
