On the border of Washington(US) and Vancouver(Canada), do the what's their face check your car and belongings? How tight/strict is security there at the border?

What about the little back roads? The Canadian border has always been really porous.

I drove to canada before 911. It was at Niagra Falls where they expect people to cross. They didn't do a search, just a drivers license check. I am certain things have changed. I know what you are thinking and I want one too
