  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I have my 4x2x2 and a 40g growout in my room. I don't notice the smell, but it is definitely humid in there.

+1 :p

My gf will only let me keep a 10g hospital tank in our room so the other 495 gallons are in my guest bedroom and dining room lol. If u really want to keep your tanks where they're at I've found the best strategy is to use your fish kinda like hostages. Tell her if u sell the tanks you're gonna have to sell this little guy too (pointing at whichever fish she notices most often). That's how I upgraded my 90 and 100 to a 240... said I was gonna have to give away my pacu and dovii because their tanks were way too small and she acted like I was gonna sell her next. It was another story when she saw the 240 inside, but the argument only lasted 10mins so I decided to put the other tanks back up too... again, 10mins and its all good.

Just the fact that yours is still talking to u after that little ''who said I'm gonna marry u'' comment should be a good enough sign lol. If she's only worried about the smell just do frequent water changes and don't feed massivore or NLS Thera A (extra garlic) ;)

I had a 150g in my bedroom at mum and dads when I met my [now] wife over 12 years ago, the noisy sump didn't bother her so I knew she was a keeper! :grinno:

IMO bedroom tanks either need to be incredibly good professional quality installs (silent filters, ventilated and ducted etc) or desperation measures, when there are no other alternatives.

You didn't enjoy just watching your fish when you were laying in bed?

I got my 29 next to my bed and my 90 across from my bed. Both really help me sleep plus it's just awesome to lay back and enjoy watching my fish

I also have a tank in the bedroom. I just use canister filter(xp3) and keep lights on timer. Chemi pure keeps the smell away for a few months and we just keep ranchu in there. Super relaxing. She didn't want a tv in there so she let me keep the tank.
