The oldest fish I've had was a black skirt tetra. It was bought in 1998, together with the first batch of fish we've had. I don't have pictures, but it lasted until 2006. It has survived having its bowl stirred by a child (one of his friends were not so lucky), shrimp harassment, and it was almost killed by a small snakehead. The snakehead was able to attack it because it swam through dividers, but it escaped with a major portion of skeleton exposed, and a lot of muscle lost. Despite that incident which happened in 2001, it lived until five years later.
