you can keep sps lps clams all under t5ho they are just as good as halides look at the dimensions of the 8x54 watt its way too big for a 55 they are usually 20" deep

The 4x54 weighs 14 lbs. Measurements-48"x7.25"x2.5"-216 Amps-1.86 Amps priced from $190.00(online) - $275.00(LFS)
The 8X54 weighs 23 lbs. Measurements-48"x14"x2.5"--432 Amps- 3.72 Amps Priced from $ 399.00(online) -$600.00(LFS)
..What would you do.. keep in mind someday i want to have lights sufficient for a 90G, but for now a 55G.

SO does that mean a yes to keeping most or atleast some Anenome's?? Thanks for all the info, im DEF going T5HO for heat, price, and price of replacement bulbs.. Thanks guys

I see you live in NH. I grew up there!! Have you heard of Zoo Creatures? It's on 125 in Plaistow, NH. They usually have some slightly used PC hoods for a decent price. I personally prefer the PCs on my salt setup.

I found this website helpful for figuring out what light to use. Depending on if you plan on keeping SPS or LPS, you may want different lighting versus a FOWLR tank. Check out the reef lighting chart.
