These were in the snow around and on a frozen lake in Staten Island, NY. The size is quite startling. And whatever made them walked across a semi-frozen lake, so it wasn't a human.

Not a Squirrel. These prints went out onto the lake, went in a few cirlces, and then came back, all identical, and there was a pair of them, IE they came from feets.

They look like wolf tracks. Remember, as the snow melts, the print will get bigger.
Short stride, marks from muzzle dragging, narrow path...all characteristics of a hungry wolf hunting. I tried to zoom in to see the structure, but it washed out.

i zoomed in and was thinking dogs or wolf also but the it was kinda difficult seeing it.
