Cheers fire,i just want to buy a camera for life as it were so i dont need to upgrade i a year or two,thats why i was looking at the 90 over the 80,but il do some more research before i make my mind up.

Same here. That is why I went for the D80. When I got mine 18 months ago the D90 wasn't about. I don't thiink I will need to upgrade unless Nikon stop doing the equipment for it.
