I am a member too (wargreen), I would love to go to a convention but since my wife got laid off we havent had the money either. I wish someone would start breeding and selling Spotted ,Flat, and Snail Bullheads.....they look so cool and are the perfect size for a 55g aquarium with a few Lepomis in it. Have you tried to breed your Mud Sunfish.....I hear theyre getting rare in their native range.

I had two to start with but one died right away so I never had a chance to breed them.

I did not have any luck tring to breed natives in the aquarium yet, this year I thought I would get my spotted sunfish to breed but the male killed my two females after he made the nest in the tank. I was so hopefull, but just discusted in the end.

I hope to get some small ponds going soon, to put fish in in the spring & see if I could get them to breed outside this next year.

I would like to get all those bullheads too. Your right they would be better fish for most people.

On another note I found two Florida Flagfish at the pet store, so I baught them for my empty 10 gal aquarium.

Wow, that's a lot of fish in one tank, how much do you have to feed them each day? Do you have any pictures?

Sorry to hear about your spotteds, I had the same thing happen with Green Sunfish in a 39g. Good catch with the Flagfish, I love the look of those little things.
