Who owns the oldest fish on MFK?

But if you have to devote a tank to a fish..that French is one heck of a fish.

I just lost a Silver Aro that I had over 4yrs. I hope to have my SW Queen Angel for 14+ yrs. Congrats on that success.
 
Great to see such long life spans with so many fish! My oldest koi is around 12 years old, which isn't that old for a koi so hoping he's got a long life ahead of him still.

I'm amazed to hear about the 30+ year old loaches, very very cool
 
My cousin's blackmoor is a few years old because its friggen 7 inches when I go his house I get some pics.
 
My friend at the LFS had a man somewhere around his nineties come in last year with grotesque sized catfish.. common pleco or ancistrus (not sure which).. with tears in his eyes he explained that he could no longer perform the water changes and other maintanance proparly due to reumatism and now he had to get rid of first and last fish.. he claimed he had the fish since he was in his mid twenties, that making the fish 60-70 years old..

this could be false but I like to think it is true..
 
A fish keeper until he couldnt what a great man. He deserve some respect for even doing what he did.

If kept properly, there's no reason they shouldn't live into their teens.

I have a pair of 18 year old elephant noses.

my aunt lost her 36 year old fancy gold fish that lived his entire life in a wal mart 30 gallon fish tank about a year ago man that thing ate very good
