I am looking to sell off my smaller upper jaw bichir because I feel like they will get eaten, lol.
So I am hoping to get a 13-15" endli (wc) this next week, and I currently have a 13"+ weeksii (wc) and 11.5" teugelsi (cb). The fish in question Im selling off are a 7.5" gold dust, 8" palmas palmas and a 9" delhezi. Am I being over protective or could it work?

Who successfully keeps lower and upper jaw together?

What is your combo and size you deal with?

Those sizes are fine. I have about a 2ft PBB with a 5"-6" Del. No problems. The main problems occur when 1) smaller endlis are kept with smaller fish 2) lower jaws are put with small upper jaws and not fed. The sizes you have should be fine.

The gold dust and palmas palmas look like the perfect spaghetti noodle treat, lol. I might still rehome then to reduce bio load a little so that I can add a lap, possibly a koliba in there.

It'll work I kept my endi that's 10.5 with a delhezi and an albino seg that were like 3 inches. I fed them night crawlers bigger than them and they were fine

Haven't had many UJ. But I've had my 15-16" CB endli at the time hold my 11" Teug for a few seconds before. My 15" ornate did the same head bite hold on my beautiful 8" CB Ansorgii (probably died from drowning).

Not saying that it can't be done. I'd still try it again personally with poly size difference. It's a risk. Many have had lots of success.

Considering my upcoming endli is wild caught and up to 15", I do think it would be dangerous for a scrawny 7.5" gold dust not to be tasted.... Appreciate your feedback

I have kept dozens of WC Bichirs over 18" and have never had an issue with them eating smaller fish, I think its much more rare that something like that happens than not.

I currently have 10 ranging form 14" to 22" with two baby irwini cats and non have even looked twice at them.

So I am hoping to get a 13-15" endli (wc)

Considering my upcoming endli

Mwaaaahaaaaahaaahaaa

Funny the knly aggression that iv had with my small collection was from the upper jaws. Onrate killed a small gold dust and beat up a small sen.

Not really aggression but the del ate a bunch or mollies
