Incidentally, Fishbase lists the maximum size of Datnioides quadrifasciatus at 30 cm or roughly 12 inches SL. Assuming that the tail adds another 2 inches, that would be approximately 14 inches TL. The largest silver dat I've ever had was around 9 inches TL before it died during a pH crash.![]()
It actually grew fairly quickly. . . for a dat. It was four inches when I got it and was nine inches a year and a half later.marshy said:9 inches!
How long did it take to get it to grow till that size dude?
My Silver Dat seems to grow only an inche a year.. and its eating like a pig and fat as hell!
