This has a long lost thread but to give you guys an update... which i forgot.. my tank are all in great shape no need to put any chemicals in it anymore and straight tap fine. i just do it slowly for the heater to catch up since the temp is low right now. thank you for all the suggestion and comment. no hard feelings.
.Its good to hear that the fish are doing well also. Are there any noticable differences in the tanks such as water quality improvements or better fish behavior?
water quality... honestly i never check my water parameters once the tank has cycled. i do change a 90% on my 60 gal and 50% on my 180. every week on the 180 and every 2-3 days on the 60 gal tank. and i just noticed that they don't get sick like before (maybe because i learned my lesson from the past). anything else.. my dats are growing great and my other fish are pumping fat. cannot really justify that the water made all those happen.
