Seared scallops, asparagus steamed over sauterne, rice pilaf with saffron butter, baby spinach salad vinagrette, followed by key lime pie. Serve a glass of champagne first, and a good reisling during the meal. An irish coffee or brandy nudge with chocolate biscottis after the meal while cuddling wouldn't hurt either.

easy food to make , one chiken in peaces , get one of onion soup packs mix whit cream , put on top of chiken , put in the oven and just had milk if gets dry:D

All of these are easy, the pie is even easy if you substitute regular lime juice for key limes or can find bottled key lime juice.
The scallops take 2-6 minutes (2-3 minutes on each side), fresh ground pepper, a little minced garlic, some olive oil, and a fairly hot pan.
Plump, trimmed asparagus in a metal sieve is placed over simmering sauterne in a covered pot for about 12-15 minutes.
Trimmed baby spinach leaves and a bit of minced onion is tossed in a vinagrette dressing, zesty italian will do.
For the rice pilaf just cook white rice as directed on the package (2 servings) and 10 minutes before they are done add coarsely chopped onions, green onion (the white part), carrot, and celery (only 1-1 1/2 tbsp each)that was cooked in one stick simmering unsalted butter with 1/4 tsp of saffron for 6-8 minutes. Stir in
Here is a cheater's recipe for the pie that I use camping, it is not the real thing but still very tasty and nice with a meal like the one above.

EASY KEY LIME PIE

1 graham cracker crust
2/3 c. lime juice
1 can Eagle Brand sweetened milk
8 oz. Cool Whip

Mix lime juice and milk. Slowly add Cool Whip. Pour into crust and refrigerate until firm.

This is a meal even an engineer could cook.

thanks for the ideas guys, i was actually thinking wed make a pizza together, dough and sauce from scratch. Ive made my own pizzas dozens of times.

Pizza, okay! But, no valentines meal is complete without chocolate, so here is dessert.
Make an extra crust (11" or so) and press dents in it all over with your (or her) fingertips, brush with melted butter (unsalted) then bake at 450F for about 20 minutes (lightly golden brown).
Spread a nice chocolate-hazelnut or chocolate macadamia nut spread overthe crust like it was pizza sauce (about a 1/4 cup).
Sprinkle on 1/2 cup of shaved or chopped semisweet chocolate (bittersweet if that seems to sweet for you).
Sprinkle with 2 tablespoons of chopped white chocolate.
Bake about 2 minutes (until the chocolate is starting to melt.
Sprinkle with around 2 tbsp of toasted, chopped nuts (hazel, macadamia, or almond).
Slice and serve warm.

Hey, anybody who tries these, and I think they are good, please post your likes or dislikes, I'm thinking of doing a cook book.

I think pasta with meatballs is about the easiest thing to make.......I do it alot when i'm home alone........Just boil some water cook the pasta and order some meatballs from a local Italian place, they usually come with sauce so your done........easy and cheap way out..........
