whos has thier tank on the ground??

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
1. Uneven flooring
2. Lack of pressure to be able to siphon
3. Bad viewing

I learned the hard way when I did it with one tank before.lol It's too much of a hassle for me.

Done it before with my old 75Gal , and soon i might have to do it 240Gal ( or it might be going on a low 1.5foot tall stand .

i have a 125gal and a 90gal....with no stand.:naughty:

That looks very cool. Give me a sleeping bag and a pillow, I call it juicy.\
I wouldn't recommend it if you have kids running around though.

How large is your tank? Also, is there a reason you want it on the floor? If it's in the house where people can see, it will look kind of ghetto. However, if it's in a room that doesn't get a lot attention, then it should be fine. In addition to having problems water changing and looking at the tank at floor level, the tank might be stressed by uneven flooring. Maybe you can put a piece of thick foam on the floor and put the tank on top of it to even out the tank. If you need a stand for cheap, get some concrete block and put a piece of plywood on top. Hope this helps, The Doctor.
