Who's the best player in the NFL?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
First I would take Peyton Manning, then I would go out and get the best left tackle, Jake Long, to protect his blind side. He ain't gonna do ya much good laying on his back side.

Revis would be nice but it's easy to run your offense away from him if he is the only threat on defense. I would rather have Reed or Polamalu to lead my defense.

I'd still pick Brees over Manning. Three years younger and his numbers have always been great also. I think Brees should've won MVP last year, but some people are just stuck so far up Mannings junk that he won. His team had a little better record by one game, but his numbers were worse across the board.

Manning is an on-field OCoordinator. His abilities in play calling and coverage recogition are unparalleled. Brees is awesome- probably number 2, but there is a reason people are up in Manning's "junk." He raised the play of a rookie and an inexperienced WR to almost ProBowl level. He's done that kind of stuff consistently throughout his career. Again, I wasn't asking about future seasons, just this one. I might have to give the nod to Brees if we were talking multiple seasons (there's a good reason I may take Manning anyway, but I won't mention it- knock-on-wood). Also, don't put too much stock in team records when evaluating any individual player- neither Manning or Brees plays D. Same with numbers- this isn't baseball.

I would rather have a world class MLB- the QB of the D. (Patrick Willis, Urlacher a few yrs ago, etc). Good point on the LT.

I agree, Manning is great. I just think Brees should've won the MVP last year. I'm assuming you're talking about injuries w/ the knock-on-wood. Look what Brees has done w/ what he has. Their best receiver was one pick away from being Mr. Irrelevant and Shockey always seems to be hurt. It's a close one-two that I wouldn't argue either way.

I agree, Patrick Willis or Jon Beason wold be my pick for that spot.

I take Andre Johnson, Chris Johnson and Revis. Don't make no sense to take people who are coming to the end of their careers.

Anybody pick up Madden 11 today? How is it?
