Who's the murderer? Where's the evidence?

Oh I watched this on nat geo last night it's called the "rapture". You know, the moment near the end of the world where some people just vanish in an instant without any trace. Maybe it applies to fish too..:D

I can't say your not right unfortunately. Still missing in action. Meanwhile though, the little Jag has taken on a much darker coloration. Maybe this was a power struggle between them two. Still weird though, the case remains open.

I found a bala shark a couple of years after it jumped out, behind the tank when I was moving.

I had a fish jump tank a few years ago and for months i thought he had just vanished into thin air but when i broke the tank down to move it i found him stuck to the side of the wood stand. He must have jumped out and flopped around wet and stuck to the side of the stand and i just never saw him until i got back there.

If you have no pets and the other fish didn't get it and you can't find it, I would suspect the kids. You didn't mention those right away.

First of all, the Jags and the Dovii are way too small to be sexed...at that size all the Jags markings and coloration will switch back and forth, you will have to wait until they are about 5 inches to accurately sex them. And second, I really doubt either the Jags or the Dovii ate your missing Jag............most likely a jumper

Kids, no way. They are always supervised and unable to get to the tank even if they weren't. They don't really bother with the fish anyway, to busy playing with toys and being kids. Again, I do understand the fish can't be 100% accurately sexed at this age, just looking for guesses. This site can get way too mathmatical sometimes, just go with what you feel if you feel like it. I love speculation, it helps with me deal with the anticipation for their growth. I do believe that this wang jumped out of the tank though, the murder scenario seems more far fetched every time I think about it. No smell as of yet, so the mystery still persists.

He's just sitting there right now, looking all shady.

:ROFL::ROFL::ROFL:

It's never good when a fish is looking shady
