Why $5000 for a fish?

This is going nowhere. Dovii, just because YOU cannot justify the cost, it doesn't mean everyone else is wrong for doing otherwise. It's turning into a "but I would..." debate.

same up $ to accomplish your goal ;) it might be fish, it might be house it can be anything... so your goal is to have $... lot of it...

lets not forget call this thing call "bragging rights".... its the human nature... you cant denial it... we all want to be proud and get complimented...
 
if you cant justify it then its not for you it means it is out of your reach so why try to argue it. just because you cant doesnt mean some one can. if you would rather buy a tank and a bunch of small fish you do that. if somebody else would rather pay 5k for just one fish then they can do that. i dont get what it is so hard in figuring that out...............

The people who are spending 5k on a fish have already bought all that... I think you guys are missing the point between you wouldn't buy it because you don't have 5k to spend.. The people who are buying it have the 5k to spend..

see like i said for the cichla intermedia http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=65236 he is know seeling it cause he needs the money y did u buy it in the first place..and 10k for an arrow i dont care if it ****s 20 dollar bills i still wouldnt buy it if i had the money..its a waste on one fish

even if i have the money to spent i wouldn't. It's wasteful. rather donate it to charity. but whatever tickles other's fancy i guess.
