why all the azul sales?

the hobby is buying what you want, doing what you want with your hard earn money! not doing what reverse wants! maybe you should stop trying to force your views one everyone else! stating your opinions is one thing bashing other for theirs is another!!!

There are hobbyists enjoy buying, feeding, growing, showing, breeding, and selling.
IMO there is nothing good or bad, right or wrong at different stage of this hobby.
Back to the topic, demand vs. supply.

i agree theres nothing wrong with it,since it is YOUR hobby and YOU do what you want with it.
im trying seeing what you guys have to say about this...about why azuls were all hyped up a few months back and then seeing many for sale a few months later.

Seems like the exact same happened with the all the kelberi that came in and it appiles to other species and groups of fish. Not many people keep fish at pets these days it seems

and i was going to make a thread to sell off all my endlis....

Just so you guy's inderstand, I meant there's no way over night Pass are the # 1 fish, And the be all end all.. I do think there is a very nice amount of people that are into Bass for the right reason's.. But there ALOT that are in for the wrong reason's.. Keeping fish just to be cool is not a good reason to be in the hobby.. Or buy a fish just to run home and post it online.. "Look A new Cichla". The vendor's are doing a very nice job a getting the fish ya'll want... And the fish that were so sought after now are more common or as common as Mono Occel ect... And that's why there all for sale.. The ughhh factor is gone, So on to the next "HOT" item.. But let some new Bass become aval, People will be killing each other to own.. "The New Rare Cichla"..

Agin, This is not everybody.. But alot of people are just looking to be cool.. Or get R1 to post on your thread cool fish.. Or Micheal, One of the True Bass Keepers.. I think it would just be cool, If you looked around and keep what float's YOUR boat.. Somehow i don't think 90% of MFk are all PBass people.. Agin JMHO

This has always been the problem on the "monster" fish..As mentioned...they all go through their 'fad' state. A lot of people buy the fish so they can show it off or say I have so and so...but they have it in a 20g tank. They don't do their research. Soon enough the fish is growing too fast or eating too much...You also have the ones that buy it without a thought and are then 'dissapointed'. What do you expect the fish to do for you? Dance?

Cichla are a good example of this because they don't start getting their colors and really showing off their 'personality' until a certain size, which a lot of people dont have the patience for.

Then there's the ones that will stock up to try and resell at a higher price later...

So...whats the next 'fad' fish...It all cycles. GATF should be coming in seaon soon so get ready...IMO it will be Barra's...again.

Pretty good point's Laz, But i'll disagree on the GATF, Only because they will never be $50.00 (the price of Azul's) I don't think people can house and give the ATF's the space and care they need.. And you'll need $300.00 range just to buy a 3'' fish.. And well over half of them will not make it.. There really hard to keep.. IMO, That's the reason they stay pretty Rare.. JMO

maybe its just cause i'd always wanted to have an azul and even the kelberis and FINALLY get the chance to own one seeing as to how i'd probably never get the chance in a long time.but i'll tell you that there are many species ive bought on impulse only to sell a few weeks and sometimes days later.
to be honest,there are very few fish out there that do it for me.
but glad to say,cichla is one of them.

and IMO,GATF arent exactly hard to take care of.

But, They are the hardest small fish i've ever kept... Now if you get them to 7'' your home free..this just from my exp.. But as you know, There is nobody into the Goliath's like me..
