Wait, you don't want to cook your pets? Whats wrong with you??? I mean, each and eveytime I see an animal walk by, I get the urge to throw it into a pot.

You're weird, go and eat your pets, you'll feel better.

Here's some fun tips:

add 10 heaters to your favorite tank. Turn up the heat. Get that sucker to 125, add noddles, and carrots and savoy cabbage and celery. Wait a few hours. Invite your family and friends to sit around your tank and have a feast!

Enjoy!

What else is one to do when the fish get too big and no one else wants them?

I would much rather see a person eat a fish than release it. The life of one fish is not nearly as significant as the thousands of life's lost when an invasive species alters an ecosystem. That said, I agree with you 100% and think the eating fish threads are distasteful and disturbing IMO.

i ment to say release it if it originates from the area you currently live in, if you get what i mean other wise usually your local lfs will happily take free fish no??

Most stores will take free fish to make a profit off of but it is not even a good idea to re release captured native fishes.

I would pose this question.

Should we treat food animals poorly?

What is wrong with eating an aquarium fish besides the health related risks generated from conflicts in their diets(you know how many fish food labels say don't feed to food specimens.)

I mean I really enjoy my fish but I could see how some people objectify their aquatics pets and see them as decor then food. I'm not vegetarian so I'm not going to take the stance that its immoral. One animal is as good as another really. I will observe that I lack the killer instinct and cannot clean fish I catch fishing.

This was the sight that first introduced the idea of eating monster fish to me. Eating a fish beats letting it go as someone above sighted, that is just irresponsible.
