Duster71 I can help you with the stray cats eating your fish in your pool!lol no neighborhood cats mess with my pool! They seem to steer clear of my house for some reason, they must of got word that I feed kittens.Lmmfao. Piranha being illegal in some states is. It is what it is!they will NEVER become legal in these states!they add laws n restrictions they don't take them away!! Everyone should be worried about other states banning them! Because irresponsible people dump unwanted fish is only giving the fish and the keepers a bad name and are going to ruin it for everyone! I can see it coming, nation wide ban before 2015.everyone gonna be left scratching their heads just like when snakeheads were banned years ago, same with Asian arowana.piranha be next If we aren't careful!

Why is the world round ??

Because I thaught it looked better than the original square lol. Takes up less space and is more arrowdynamic.

im actually great at explaining this topic because there was a monsterquest episode on this were piranha lives in some lakes year round dont remember what state but they tested how long they can live in cold temps and the piranhas lives in temps like 20-40 degrees thats when they started to shut down so yes i see why its a state to state thing for them being illegal since some already breed in some of the US lakes..

I want to see more on this show. MonsterQuest though....aren't they the ones that went look for "mothman", Sasquatchs aka bigfoot, the legendary chupacabra aka "goat sucker"?

Edit: Just looked at their episode lists. Aired March 3, 2010

"Piranha Invasion" March 3, 2010 (2010-03-03) A look at the growing number of South American piranha that are appearing in U.S. lakes and streams. A team studies how they are adapting and collects evidence to determine if the predatory fish are becoming a new threat to fresh water environments.

The episode tested the Ps and found that they start to "shut down" in the low 50s not 20-40. The lake was Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri. There were no confirmed cases of Ps breeding in any US lake & theyset all types of food and camera traps and found no evidence of any existing Ps. One or two people had caught Ps at that lake in the summer- probably just recently released pets. The lake is big tho- they couldn't test all of it obviously, but except for one small spring fed creek inlet there wasn't a place the Ps could overwinter. Even the place with the spring-fed water was marginally suitable.

Watch any of those episodes at your own risk. They are terrible examples of pop culture oriented pseudo-science. They actually decide what they want they are trying to get their results to prove before they run a test. Not exactly credible. Entertaining tho

Yeah its the lake right by me n at least part of those very few that have been caught were pacu not piranha. Chance of rbp finding that lil warm spring in that huge lake is like billion to one!no piranha would make it at 40degrees!I doubt many If any would survive below 50 for even a day or two! Monster quest is a BS show they also look for bigfoot.I pretty sure bigfoot fishes for piranha at lake of the ozark!maybe monster quest will do show on that next season.mothman probably around there too. Hell they probably on a party barge right now catchn lunch(rbp). Monster quest what a joke! Who the hell believes that garbage?? I have better things to do! Like feed fry n baby rbp!! Monster quest Lmmfao!!!

Looks like this House Cats 3D movie is going to be big.

Monster Quest has been canceled. I did see the "hillbillie monster", "mothman" and a few other episodes but never saw the piranha one. Certainly entertaining. Especially episode where they debunk the sasquatch picture (just a bird's and it's shadow).

Thanks for clarifying what was on that episode Lujor.
