OK...I just don't get the facination with...or attraction to Datniods. So heres the deal...You Dat people do your best to convince me that a Dat is worth having WITHOUT using the words...RULES...ROCKS...COOL... so on...you get the Idea. LOL

I find them to be very attractive, I just love the odd ball look. they also have tons of personality more so then any cichlid IMO, when ever I walk up to the tank my AT goes mental, waging his tail like it was a dog lol. Also with the hefty price tag not everyone has one.
And because of that you know they RULE... and freaken ROCK... and are sooooo COOL...

I like them because I think they have a great personality. Our Dats remind me of little puppy dogs because they'll come right up to the tank and beg for food. It's also really cool to watch them eat because they hit food so hard and quick.

its probably because they look cool to some, get decent sized, and are rare (except for on this site where everyone seems to have one lol)

I've never had a Dat but my lfs has one in stock. Could I mix one in a Central American tank with a Jag, V Synspilum, Trimac and convict? Or are they big wimps?

Actually that's very well said. If you don't like RTC's, you don't need anyone to convince you to like them. Here's what I think, Wolf kind of likes Dat's but isn't sure and was thinking about getting one. BUT...he wants more reasons to make it a more confident purchase. The DOCTOR is IN lol.
But the question still remains...Can I keep a Dat in a Central American community tank?
