yes my mom is a fish keeper and just so you all know i was planning on moving him to the 120 in my home when i come back to college after winter break. but is it possible that he hit his head. should i have lowered the water level or something.

OK he did make a mistake and he leaned from his mistake he learned that he should research fish and not just get a fish because it looks good and not to let an unexpired fish keeper take care of your fish without very specific directions now that he leaned he shouldent make this mistake gain but you got to research your fish i mean come on i would never buy a fish that i have no idea about

so how do we get experience without experiencing dude? Sorry for your loss, let's recap - water parameters Nh3 & ph/temp. What are they? cheers

Well through research you can learn from others experience. Omitting the need to have the bad experiences yourself, and maybe saving the lives of a few fish along the way.

x2.

Reading the stickies in the "Arowana" sub-forum and following the information that they provide would have gone a long way for keeping that arowana alive.

Has anyone ever thought to try and use constructive criticism instead of just being pompous and rude? How about we participate and educate instead?

Man Pharaoh my first time back on the site in awhile and I see this post from you, made me lol.

Not to disagree with you Bobby but in this case all the information needed is in the stickers. Asking questions without reading those first shows IMO disrespect to people who took the time to write them. I'm sorry to say but this site changed alot recently and not for the good. Being honest and direct is being perceived as rude and the fish welfare became secondary to people's "feelings". Is that what we want as hobbyists ?

Is it that hard to point a newbie to a thread? Also,
don't know about you, but I remember that
I was young once and made plenty of mistakes...
There IS a difference between saying what you
did was wrong and what was said in this thread...
Frankly I don't think people would say the things they
say here if they were face to face with the person.
