Why Did You Sell Your FX5?

I wouldn't buy one cuz the filter would require a wide door to wedge into a stand. Otherwise you'll have to stick the filter in from the back of the stand. Another thing is the fx5 is a back breaker if you ever need to lug it into the yard to do cleaning.

Seems like if u have a tank that would require a FX5, the stand would have big enough doors to accomodate. To be fair tho, I have not seen every tankstand in existence. Also, I do all my maintenance in my basement man-cave with the floor covered with towels; I use buckets and large rubbermaids. Saves the back. I flush all the nasty water from my buckets&rubmds to keep from having to venture outdoors. Nice if your setup allows u to do this.

isnt that what the purge valve is for? it completely empties the canister for me.
