Why do you enjoy breeding?

Its the next step in the hobby. I have community tanks too, but they can get a little boring after a while - same with keeping a solo wet pet setup. Sometimes you just need the accomplishment of a spawn.
 
I agree with all of these, as well as the idea of giving something back to the hobby; because the chances are on a forum like this you'd be responsible and motivated enough to provide quality specimens to lfs for other people to discover and enjoy the hobby :)
 
I hate it when they breed. My fish turn into jerks and I have tons of fry to contend with. LFS around me dont by fry.
 
You have the joy of selective breeding to the genes you want or the experience to raise the fry the way you want them too and see them grow from fry and know that you bred those fish I don't know you just feel proud of yourself and you can breed the most awesome looking specimens of a specific breed and get out an even more awesome looking offspring

I don't under stand why people say I don't have time raise the fry and think they cant breed fish, just let the parents take care of them till one there big enough to sell or two get eaten by the other fish in the tank. Its not for money its more self pride that your giving your fish the best they can have.
