What are the reasons why we like / dislike flowerhorns. Pros and Cons?

I like flowerhorns because they are such unique fish with so much personality.
Not one FH is alike and their beauty (specially on high end FH ) are something else.

I know Purists do not like them because they might taint the bloodlines of
their parent fish ( like Trimac ) and that they are also "Franken Fish" fish culled
from several different species and therefore not "pure".

opinions between flowerhorn aficionados and detractors. Please keep it
civil and polite.

i like flowerhorns because:

they are so colorful

they have an attitude

diverse personality

and

THEY GET HUGE!!!! :headbang2

and my flowerhorn is very disease resistent, he hasnt fallen to anything my other fish have caught

Some Flowerhorns have very beautiful colorations, they have a beautiful body structure and with big humps on their head. They are always very active! They are not picky with their foods.... will eat anything! Just a beautiful Monster!

I never knew fh until my ex introduced them to me. So i'll say, i like fh cuz of a woman. Is that a valid reason?

I love them because they have everything i desire from a fish that i keep by itself. They are gorgeous to look at, they have ferocious appetites most of the time, they have very interesting personalities, and are super aggressive. I see no problem in breeding several fish to bring out certain characteristics as long as the fish doesnt come out with life threatening deformities and can live a full life (10-12 years)
