i havent quit but im sick of running 8 tanks wanna get rid of all but my large tank and just focus on that
That's how I feel right now. I have 1 tank going and that is all the time I can spend on fish right now, with 2 jobs and other hobbies I just can't do several tanks right now. I hope it changes soon though there were some fish I had in the past that I would love to have again along with certain fish I still want to get.

i have two hobbies, i mean full interest on it.. cars and fish.. before joining MFK i had at 2 fish house with about 12 tanks.. now im down to 4 and given up cars..

I'm not leaving the hobby, but I find I've slowed down. I have extracurriculars, and next year I'm going into the IB programme, so I don't want to be too tied up. I still intend on keeping fish, and I will probably get one last tank, but my progress through the hobby will likely stall. Nowadays I'm only really on MFK once a month (albeit a week in that month). But I see my pleco following my geos happily around the tank, and it's all worth it :)

I gave it up for a few years when I first got married. An accident with a space heater wiped out my small fishroom.I didnt have the time, money or heart to rebuild.About 5 years ago I had a pile of scrap lumber and decided to build a stand for one of the 55g tanks. Now Im up to 40 tanks about 1800g of water.:)

I was on the edge of giving up.. I lost many of the fish that are so rarely available over here and it felt like losing good friends.. It just wasn't the same looking at the tank anymore.. Now I'm trying to sell of my big tank and starting over with a 150 "jdm" until I can justify a big tank again.. I'm gathering endlies, dats, loaches and other rareties.. problem is I could spend like 5 grand in say japan or socal and have my dream collection (tank, filtration and fish) over here that would be years of growing out fish and 3x the cost.. well well, location and availability..

hmm... well I set up a 20g with guppies, cories, and a dwarf gourami. The dg died and the guppies bred like crazy. I kept the first two batches of fry but then lost interest. Holy crap, the guppies were the stupidest I've ever seen, they didn't eat their fry. Those guppies made me hate the hobby. That was maybe 10 months ago.

Then, a few months ago, my mom stopped at TJ MAX on the way home from school and I decided to look in the LFS next door. One look at the Jardini they had sparked my interest. Today, I am into the hobby :D and although I only have 4 tanks, I love fish.

I will never be ABLE to leave the hobby. I will never send a fish to its death by giving it to an lfs, and I can't stand to have empty tanks. It's an addiction...

I'm addicted now. Last time I was into this, it was casual. Now it's EXTREME :headbang2:headbang2:headbang2

oh geez.. can't stand empty tanks.... I have 3 right now.... their empty and more like emergency backups..

I quit for 6 years to focus on school and college... right after.. i started getting aback into the game and now i'm running 3 tanks..

Dont want to quit.. but i know that if i do get a job thats far away or get married.. i might have to quit for awhile... :(
