agree. Did you use a net when you put the armatus in the tank?? This looks just like what happen to one of my tats. It was trashing all over when I netted it and three days later this happened. I treated it withy melafix
It's been in that tank untouched for weeks. I did add a little mela, too.

Some of the discolored area has some fungus on it now, so I added some pimafix. This is crazy. It's still acting normal, so that's a good sign, but about the only glimmer of hope I've seen yet. Now I wish I would've ordered an armatus from H20.

I did think the same thing when I saw your arm was sick, but don't jump to conclusions. You just have to keep up with it and i'm sure the arm will make it.
And at least you be getting a nice tig

THanks. However, I took a lunch to get some more mela and salt and check on the fish and it was sucked onto the filter inlet, so I put it in a net to keep that from happening and the "fungus" was coming off easily, so I guess it's not really fungus. I added some more mela, pima and kosher salt. It was on its side in the net, but when I got it upright, it's staying that way...so far. I got a good thermometer and it's only 83, but my heaters are turned all the way up...hope it's enough.

Now I'm not sure where to put the tigs.

I might have a extra heater if you need one but 83 sounds good. Instead of the net just put a tank divider in and a place for the arm to hide, I used broken terra cotta pots. keep the lights off too to help reduce stress.
I'm leaving here at 545 to get the tigs. So i'll call you after I pick them up.

sounds good.

The armatus is by itself. It is apparently too weak to swim away from the filter, thus the net. I don't really have a way to divide off enough of the tank so it has enough room and isn't in a section w/ a filter.

It's dead  guess I shoulda looked at it before posting this. I am a bad fishkeeper, I think :( ...lots of stupid things I still do. Guess I wasn't supposed to have an armatus :(

DAmn Paul sorry to hear!! Hope you get it figured out! How many tigs did you get and where from?
2 from Mike...going to sell at least 1, but not sure if 2 or if I'm going to grow them out first or not.
