Uhhhh. a bichir is not supposed to be aggresive. If you want an aggresive fish, go get an piraha.

i have seen a bichir take down a fish just to kill it you just cant say they arent aggressive im just asking why mine is not aggressive and a lot a
of other bichirs are i already know bichirs are aggressive but just dont know why mine isnt

bichirs are actually kinda a lazy and laid back fish. They are most active at night. You don't just see them chasing the random guppy around. They only pounce when there are fish swimming nearby. They usually hide for the most of the time. Obviously they can kill fish.

I had an albino that was super friendly, only aggressive to small feeders and even then not relentlessly

Only one i had that was aggressive was a palmas polli that i ended up rehoming.

Bichirs are ambush predators and are most of the time passive. Don't expect them to be chasing around other fish aggressively.

:iagree:

And sometimes it is the bichir in general and how it is.I have a moke which bites all my other bichirs, but real damage.I got a PBB, friends told me to watch out for aggression, right now I see no aggression toward to all my other bichirs.
from what I heard, Ornates, and Pbb are known to be or have little aggression
