why is my bichir not aggressive

ornates are the most aggresive. Not sure about pbb.

In my view it's personality my ornate is the biggest scardy cat in the world when my little 3 inch sen comes up to him (he's 6 inches) he wil quickly swim away. But if it is a senegalus that you have and it is a scardy cat it's most likely cause almost all senegals are captive bred i think finding a wild-caught senegalus is harder to find compared to and polypterus tuegelsi. Anyways since sens have been captive bred soo much the wild and aggessive genes are starting to wash away. How big is yours anyway?

+1, although piranhas are usualy skittish.

Bichirs aren't really aggressive. The most aggressive would be an Ornate. I find it hard to believe that a Sen will attack a Cichlid unless it's smaller and the Sen is hungry. Are you sure your not confusing activity level with aggression?

when it comes to aggression, it really depends on the individual fish. in my tank, my most aggressive would be my retropinnis regardless oh how small she is compared to my three ornates.
