Why is my pump so loud?

They get loud after the 6000 models. I have a 6000, 5000, 4000, 3000, and a 1200 and they are all really quiet. It is the 9000 & up that get loud.

You shouldn't. You have a better chance of hearing them when they are not submerged. They are fairly quiet when they are under water.

Sweet, I plan on caping my sumps inline return and just submerging the little giant, I hope it works out good.

What model is the Little Giant 3? I don't think it is submersible unless I'm thinking of a different model.

Oops I meant submersing the Quiet One...no your definitely right I dont think any of the little giants are sumbersible

how are quiet ones with head loss? im looking at about 4ft of head height
