I got him 3 or 4 months ago at about 3in. Now hes 4in. Why is he growing so slow? i feed him frozen brine shrimp 3 times a week, massivore delite every other day, algae wafers once a week and he has a constant supply of feeder guppies whenever he want. His diet is varied and hes in a 20 gal because in my larger tank hell get eaten. I just dont understand why hes growin so slow. is this normal growth rate for a TSN?

once a week, about 20% what would i do if he had worms? He's always been by himself so i just think he takes his time and doesnt eat. Im thinking about putting a 3in red tail catfish in with him. Maybe promote some competetition. what do you think?
urrrr 20 gal tank for a TSN? not too growth productive. plus wen they r babies like ures..u can feed them everyday.

i would not worry too much bud , its all down to diet and tank size ,, i know a bigger tank helps growth rate as i have split a batch of fish for 2 months a while back between big and small tank and the ones in the big tank gained twice as much as the others ,, it was good to actually get to do this experiment ,, the batch is now reunited in my lfs ,,

sweet, thanks for the advice lol. not quite sure where to stick him, with my 14in channel 10in bullhead 10in hybrid and 8in RTC or with my moms small african cichlids which are all between 3-4 in. the cichlids picked on him big time when he was in there with them
