I like the monsters because of the size. I love all of my smaller fish, 1-3", but sometimes they are just so difficult to find in the tank, or to small to really notice their colors and patterns. I know not all monsters have great colors and patterns, but I find them more easier to look at and find in the tank.
There also something more majestic to see this large fish swim around in the water. With smaller fish it appears that they are just floating in the water, more that they are moved by it. While with the monsters they control the water, you see their muscles move as they just glide right through.
