My guys have grown from 3" to 7" in a little less than 6 months and I hope they don't slow down too much even though they probably will. I think they will grow at the very least 2-3 inches a year for the next few years. I have 7 of them right now, but one is slightly deformed.

way to make yourself sound uneducated! i guess you didn't do enough research to know that more than just RBP's do exist. then again...you start a thread like this and are too much of a coward to return...well at least post again!

oh yeah...and if i was one of those people that needs to know my fish is bad...my rhom would own the listed fish above! instead i continue to feed him smelt and shrimp. he hasn't killed another fish since ive owned him. do your research before you shoot your mouth off!!!

Your piranha would get eaten alive by any of my fish. A full grown dovii would ram your fish into the corner of the tank and beat it to death.
Oh yeah I am a coward because I didnt respond in an efficient manner to this thread :screwy:

I know that everyone has their own idea of what looks good, but I am just saying in general most cichlids look better and act better. Piranhas tend to be skiddish, hide , and are generally boring besides when feeding. Where as my flowerhorn and Butti rearrange the tank every single day, eat out of my hand, follow people that enter the living room etc. The coloring is also amazing on my cichlids where as most piranhas are rather dull in that department.

well you obviously never seen alot of them if you think there ugly, check out some diamond rhombeus's, or geryi, and say they ugly, i swear i'll internet slap you.

obtw after taking a look at a few photos, Black Rhoms actually look pretty cool in comparison to the RBP's I've seen. I'm thinking a single specimen tank dedicated to one mean ass Rhom would be awesome although I already have a Butti and FH that I am going to have to seperate soon once the FH catches up in size. They are currently divided, but both are extremely aggressive ramming into the divider trying to attack.

here is my little wussy black rhom.
