why keep piranha?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Jaws, I'm hoping my goldfish didn't hear you say that, otherwise they'd take offense...lol

Really anything you keep with your piranha is a dither until the P catches up to it.

I like the Blue diamond Rhoms too, gorgeus fish, but I like my RBP better!!

hehehe, i do like the blue diamonds as well. never kept them but my uncle has

good put the oddball.

RBP's were the first fish I ever tried to keep. Got 'em when I was about 16 in a ten gallon. After 2 years and many up grades in tanks, I traded the remaining 3 for a single juvi "black piranha" which turned out to be a spilo/mac. Had him for years. I've tried different saltwater setups, africans (malawii and tang), discus and tons of others. I always ended up coming back to piranhas. Particularly serra's. I've got a kickass green terror in 55 that I love...He's awsome. But don't make me choose between him and my Rhombeus.

I think my nattereri are some of the best looking fish around, of course i have never been one for bright orangs and blues.
I got into piranhas partly because of the hype, and because i wanted something not many people in my area have.
I mainly feed my piranhas non-live but they do get a feeder once in a while for a treat.
I also keep cichlids and plecos in my various tanks but my favourite is my 90 gallon Pygo tank.

lets share pictures i want to see some other monsters other then mine!

Jaws, there's a thread kicking around here somewhere, where a bunch of us posted pics of our Ps, there were some pretty impressive fish up on that one!!
