No if there was ammonia in the bottle with bacteria the bacteria would just consume it.

Soooo, if it contains bacteria, and ammonia, why wouldn't the bacteria just eat the ammonia in the bottle?

This is why I just spend the money and buy the Nutrafin Cycling solution which the process takes 3 days. I cycled my 225 in 3 days with brand new water and tested the waters paremeters on the 4th day and everything was fine. 5th day all my fish went in and all eating well and happy. Why wait 2 months? To save 30 bux? If u have money to buy fish and maintain them then I'm pretty sure u have the money to buy chemicals.

I tested the water and checked the ammonia level and ph, the ammonia level was at 0.25. Then the next day I just put the fish in. If you don't believe then I don't really care but that's what I did. Just google Nutrafin Cycle and see for yourself what it does.

So you started with brand new water and Nutrafin Cycle. In the first quote, you say you tested the water and it was fine, then the next day you added fish. In the 2nd quote, you say you tested the water, and it said .25ppm ammonia, and the next day you added fish. So was there ammonia or wasn't there? If there was, where did it come from?

It is my understanding that this product is intended for use with fish immediately being placed in the tank, which would explain the ammonia source -- the product itself, from what I read, contains no ammonia.

I have had less-than-desirable results with this product, but everyone's experiences are different, I suppose.

Is tank cloudy as well ? I cleaned my tank and filters too good and i now suffer from cloudy tanks. lol

Technical Information
