Do you have Brine Shrimp for sale in your area? Stuff like that is usuall perfect for little guys like that, and is ignored by bigger fish often meaning hopefully they'll get a lions share of them. If none for sale in your area just order sea monkeys. Lol! They're the same thing and they'll even give you a tank for them so you can keep raising your own and it's small enough to fit on a desk. Just make sure you put them in a super fine mesh net so you can rinse them off before feeding. Good luck hope this helps.

Actually, the lfs does sell them, though not all the time.
I'll try that! Thanks bro!

Are they on their own at the moment or with other fish?

I had the same problem with some small dats and the solution that worked for me was housing them with other very active feeding fish - in my case some small cichlids I was growing on. I fed the tank heavily every day with frozen mysis and the dats were watching the cichlids gobbling it up & gaining confidence from seeing the cichlids feeding.

After a few days I saw them picking a few bits and pieces and now they eat like wolves. ;)

Good luck with them

They are with several bigger ITs that aggressively eat shrimp, and they watch all the time.
This is the method I've used all the time, learning from other fish, but it isn't working now.:(

I wasnt implying that i just used my experience as an analogy. Hope they come round for ya mate!

Oh, yeah I perfectly understood.
I just meant that I'm not in the same place you were with your oscar.

Do you have live black worms or blood worms available? These should do the trick. Just feed the bigger guys first.

Do you have any hiding spots in the tank? Also a lot of bright light without dim areas? I've found stressed dats are less likely to take food.... especialy without a hiding spot and escape from light!
