ok i have this thing that looks EXACTLY like a tiny version of my anemone (curlycue anemone) and it also looks like Aptasia (spelling?) Its on a piece of live rock with a bunch of button polyps on them. it has about 8 really tiny tentacles and its only about 1/6 of an inch long so pics are not gonna work. it doesnt even show up plus my computer wont read my memory card anymore :irked: so yea... sorry no pics. If anyone wants to know what my specific anemone looks like its here: http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=193356

thanks!

if it looks like the pic BigG posted, i'd nuke it if it was in my tank (which it has been). aiptasia can be a menace to get rid of. i still keep finding them. every now and then.
i take out the rock and burn them off. boiling water just didnt cut it for me. and i dont have access to joes juice. didnt have lemon juice either.

whatever method you chose, the quicker you get rid of it the less chance it has of spreading throughout your tank and stinging your corals/fish. if you chose to get rid of it that is.

Get a peppermint shrimp I had a bunch of Apistia in my reef tank and within 2 days of the shrimp being in the tank they where all gone. They eat them like candy!!
