Wild caught bluegill pumpkin seed and yellow bullhead

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
It is not in fact long enough to cycle, unless you had existing filter bacteria
You ever feel like ur cursed like (almost) every time I get a new fish, another one dies! Like the night prior to getting these I had by beloved male beta fish, fury pass he died because he got somehow all stuck inside a shell I had holding plants for him and I got him out but he was all cut up. I really miss him

Since they're wild caught they're gonna need a few weeks to settle in, so it might be that long before they start eating
Catfish will probably eat leftover food when the lights turn off though
Some bad news; the aerator appeared to have unplugged when I did the water change (it’s one of the rechargeable ones so it went for some time after unplugging) the bigger bluegill ended up passing

you could try bloodworms or brine shrimp to get them eating, a little more natural than pellets to transition

I’m very weary of bloodworms; I used to have fancy goldfish and I used to meet them bloodworms till this one time I tried a dif brand then they all died and I fed those to their baby’s and they died the same way

Catfish is eating pretty well, hybrid is eating ok he chases pellets and eats tilapia, the remaining bluegill still hasn’t eaten, my mother really wants a yellow perch, would I be able to put them together?

Not in a 29 gallon

55 is still not big enough
GOOD NEWS the catfish is eating tilapia from my hands!!!!! And the hybrid is also eating the tilapia (he literally ate big pieces and x2 his body weight) the last bluegill did go after the tilapia but didn’t eat, If 55g isn’t I guess I could treat and put into my future predatory 125 tank and If that isn’t enough and then maybe a pool pond maybe and I did some research and yellow bullhead only get around a foot and is that true?
