Really cool fish!
Thanks!!! They are awesome the catfish comes to the top and eats out of my hand! The hybrid is very curious whether he can eat me so he always comes up to me when I look and he LOVES food and he jumps out of the water to get it, every time I look at it the hybrid tries to eat me through the glass and the catfish always goes to the top waiting for me to feed him ( the bluegill does look at me while the green sunfish is a lil more shy but is eating) if you have the materials and time to keep wild caught fish I would suggest it

None of the fish you have are rare. I catch hundreds of green sunfish a year and I've probably caught thousands of bluegill over my lifetime. I coincidentally caught a green sunfish pumpkinseed hybrid yesterday. The green sunfish is the only fish that will somewhat fit in your 29 long term ish but will likely still need an upgrade. Bluegill get up to 15", the hybrid probably has the potential to get a foot or more. Purebred pumpkinseeds get about 16" and green sunfish get around 10". Though none of them will likely reach this in a 29 as stunting will kill them before they get there. I do not care what you think, it is overstocked. If you want my help I would suggest actually listening to my advice. This is like trying to keep 3 german shepherds, a rottweiler, and a bulldog in a 10x10 room. Plants will not save this stocking, and the conditions of the tank will quickly get worse than the conditions they came from.
WHY DIDNY YOU TELL ME YELLOW BULLHEADS ARE VENOMOUS!!! I PICKED IT FROM THE TRAP AND I HAND FEED HIM WHYYYYYYY

Venomous as in it will hurt a little more than usual if they sting you, but it won't kill you or make you sick

Hi

But why didn’t u tell meee
Because it isn't crucial information to know with regard to keeping them alive
Most catfish are "venomous" but only really harmful to other fish or if you swallow them whole
The venom is also only in their fins

Would have appreciated the heads up tho like what if I was allergic or something lol
Just an update the hybrid eats very good he as the personality of a Oscar/flower horn he is very intelligent and always follows me around , the green sunfish is a bit more shy but when it comes to food he goes crazy
The bluegill isn’t really thriving she just stays at the top and only eats food close to her
The yellow bullhead is so funny he goes in the weird spots ever, he comes up to me when I look at the tank and he waits with his mouth sticking out of the water for food (because I hand feed him)

Some bad and good news
The remaining bluegill has I think been eaten by the catfish (or jumped out and nocliped into the backrooms) and the green sunfish jumped out and died while I was on vacation
The good news is that the hybrid and catfish are thriving and doing very very well

Update: both the hybrid and catfish are thriving and doing great! They are super smart and are playful! The hybrid will literally dolphin leap out of the water to get Food (n shape) and chases me when I am near the tank and constantly stares at me and watches me lol the catfish always comes to the top for food when it sees me, and he sometimes bites my finger, he’s awesome. So all good news, plants are thriving too
Names are pumpkin for the hybrid and spike for the catfish!
