Wild caught discus after 2 months

Gorgeous! Wilds are hands down the most beautiful! I’d try mixing in freeze dried bloodworms into Repashy. Since they’re used to the worms, they might be tempted to pick it out of the gel food. That might help them get more nutrition. Add some Vita Chem and if you haven’t already, always deworm wild caughts. If you can get them picking at Repashy, you can always at some NLS, blended market shrimp, etc into the mix
I dewormed for one type of worm using expel - my understanding is it would take a 2nd type of med to go after tape worms if they have that - i never seen indication of worm. I can try adding some repashy i guess - i also have white worm cultures.

Amazing looking Discus, I think they look way better than the man made ones in every LFS. How often are your water changes?
Once every 2 or 3 weeks in addition to a drip system. I've had them for a year so i think the water change stuff isn't an issue.

Wow, they are absolutely stunning! I’ve never personally kept discus but the wild variations are so much better looking that all the color morphs

They remain very shy - simply wearing a different colour shirt can make them hunker down and try to hide when i approach the tank to feed them; though when i actually put the food in they do come out to eat and become a bit more chippery.

(something seem wrong with the site and i can't edit even a few minutes later - the edit button works but save gives an error)

Mate what temperature do you run for your discus, and what plants did you find working well at those temperatures. Your set up is inspiring me to maybe give it a go. I’m in an area where I need a chiller to keep tropical fish in summer so what you have done is amazing.

I;ve tried temps from 79 to 85; and found 82-84 the sweet spot. Below 82 they get very lethargic; above 85 and it just seems to make things hot.
