I'm with RD on this. Fishing, over fishing and habitat destruction are far bigger factors. With an opportunity to breed in aquariums it can be self sustaining long term. Realistically I think its just such a minor issue compared to the other problems it can't be considered seriously if your looking to preserve a species.
