What was the coolest wild caught fish that because a pet in your tank?

I remember when i was like 12-13 we i went a beach somewhere in long island (i live in NYC) with my dad during the summer. we went out to swim and noticed something weird was floating on the water, so my dad with both hands scooped it up. we brought the floating object on land and placed it inside our bucket which was full of seawater. As we placed it inside it started to deflate and guess what it was? it was a PUFFER. my dad at the time had a very very nice big coral reef tank so we went home and dropped the little guy inside. at first it wouldn't eat anything that was feed to it but only ate live stuff like our shrimps and such but after a while it gave it in started to eat the food we gave it.

i keep some pbass i catch as pets. biggest i kept was 18", smallest is a current 4"

my creek chub i had for 5 months until my sal decided to kill it.....i loved that guy, always moving around searching for food, and he was tough...just not tough enough to withstand those teeth.

a white bass he broke his jaw and died though...:(

I have a bluegill, a crappie, and a warmouth. All of which are taking nicely to my aquariums after an extended quarantine.

When I was 15 I had a 10" LMB. He ate a baby garter snake I caught. that was cool.

I kept Korean pond smelt for a while. they were pretty cool.

Just wild guppies for me. On purpose, I gave them the algae covered elodea found in the pond they were in as thier only food source and they lived for a few weeks until they become lunch.

hmmm...
i caught like 100 baby tilapias, grew them out, kept some, and now theyre a breeding colony in the pond.
