I was getting an order from Jeff Rapp (Tangled up in Cichlids)
Some Beautiful Red bellied, Red throated (heck! red under color all over) 5" Jack Dempseys.
When I spotted these wild caught juvies on his stock list. I asked him about them, And he told me
that he personally collected them. So I had to have some! Lets face it. Wild caught Dempseys are like
hens teeth, F1s for that matter. In future breeding, I would love some wild genes in the family tree.
Not more F1,000,000s inbred genes. Right now, I have them in a small tank, On my desk. To get used to me.
But I have a larger tank waiting for them.

Nice pick up I saw those on his stock list and thought that was very cool. You rarely see WC Dempseys I haven't see one in person in about 20 years. They will look a little diferent then what you used to seeing. Good luck with them.

Thanks, I've never seen one before this. Or an F1 for that matter.

Nice pick up!

Very cool! They are gorgeous! :D

I'm curious to see if the adults will get the dropped tail or bent back. I feel like those are traits of the inbred pool...

Thanks everyone. I will keep this thread updated.
I'm very curious of the differences as well.
I'm hoping for 2 females, And 1 male. Breed out some F1s later.:naughty:
Also for strengthening my EBJD, And Platinum EBJD lines.:D

Nice score, can't wait to see what they look like as they mature.
